TikTok ads ROAS calculator

ROAS, profit and break-even ROAS for any campaign.

Quick answer

ROAS = ad revenue ÷ ad spend. Break-even ROAS = 1 ÷ your margin, so at a 40% margin you need 2.5x just to break even.

Start from an example:

ROAS uses the revenue you enter. Ads Manager attribution windows can count sales differently from your store.

How TikTok ROAS is calculated

  • ROAS

ROAS = revenue from ads ÷ ad spend

A ROAS of 3x means every ฿34 of ads brought ฿102 of sales. It says nothing about profit on its own.

  • Break-even ROAS

    break-even ROAS = 1 ÷ gross margin

Your margin before ads sets the line. At 40% margin you keep ฿14 per ฿34 of sales, so you need 2.5x to cover the ads.

  • Profit after ads

profit = revenue × margin − ad spend

This is what is left after product, fees and ads. Use it to decide whether to scale or pause.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good ROAS on TikTok?

It depends on your margin. Anything above your break-even ROAS is profitable. Triple Whale’s Aug 2025–Jul 2026 data shows median ROAS of 0.02–2.70 by industry.

What is break-even ROAS?

The ROAS where ad spend equals the profit from sales. It is 1 divided by your margin, so a 25% margin needs 4x.

Is ROAS the same as GMV Max ROI?

Close. Both divide sales by ad cost. GMV Max ROI counts total shop GMV, which can include some organic sales.
