How the approval score works
Weighting
post rate 35 + GMV 25 + niche fit 20 + views 15 + followers 5Post rate counts most because a sample with no video earns nothing. Followers count least: views and sales show reach better.
Decision
70+ approve · 45–69 approve with conditions · under 45 declineFor middle scores, agree a posting date in chat or send a cheaper variant first.
Payback
sales to cover sample = sample cost ÷ profit per saleShows how few sales the creator needs to drive before the sample pays for itself.
Frequently asked questions
Should I approve every TikTok Shop sample request?
No. Many approved creators never post. Check their sample fulfillment rate, recent GMV and niche before you ship.
What is a good sample fulfillment rate?
The higher the better. Hubfluence calls a 90% post rate a near-guaranteed video and 20% a coin flip you usually lose.
Can I auto-approve sample requests?
Yes. Tools and Seller Center settings let you set minimum followers, 30-day GMV, average views and fulfillment rate. Use this score to pick your thresholds.
