How to export TikTok videos in the best quality
Match TikTok’s format
Export at 1080 × 1920. Lower gets upscaled and soft; 4K gets downscaled with no visible gain.
Use H.264 and a steady bitrate
H.264 in MP4 is the safest codec. About 10 Mbps at 30 fps gives TikTok a clean file to compress.
Upload the original file
Turn on high-quality uploads and turn off Data Saver. Don’t re-upload a downloaded or screen-recorded copy.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best resolution for TikTok?
1080 × 1920 pixels, a 9:16 vertical ratio. It is the size TikTok shows in the feed.
Should I export TikToks in 4K?
Usually no. TikTok downscales to 1080p, so 4K mostly adds upload time.
30 or 60 fps for TikTok?
30 fps for most videos. Use 60 fps only if you filmed at 60 and the video has fast motion.
Why does my TikTok look blurry after upload?
High-quality uploads is off, Data Saver is on, or the file was over-compressed. Fix those and re-upload the original.
